An Open Letter To Women

To the woman —
who is quitting her day job.
who is going back to school.
who is starting counseling.
who is raising kids without a partner.
who is writing blogs no one is reading.
who is doing ministry without a title or position.
who is hustling on the side to pursue her passion.
who is leading from the shadows.
who is digging herself out of a depression.
who is fighting an illness with no end in sight.
who is choosing singleness but is still lonely.
who is trying something new. again.
who is putting herself out there. again.
who is starting over. again.
who is fighting for her marriage.
who is investing in the next generation.
who is teaching her children about Jesus.
who is pursuing justice in her community and the world.
who is influencing more than her instagram following.
who is struggling to get out of bed.
who is trying to swallow the anxiety in her chest.
Who is taking hit after hit and still standing.
who is told she is too much, too loud, and too different.
who is told she is not enough, not worthy, and not wanted.
who is told to sit down, be quiet, and go home.
who is ready for what’s next but has no idea how to get there.
Me too.
But I am going to wait on the Lord. That’s all I know to do. Even when it hurts, when it’s hard, when it feels impossible — wait on Him.

“But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.”

Isaiah 40:31 TPT
